Connecting Risk-Takers, Doers, and the Makers of Things.

Al Gore won the Noble Prize for his work to alert us to global climate change. He's the poster man for the environment, but some truths about climate change are too inconvenient for even the truth tellers.

The thing is this, the production of animals for human consumption is the #1 contributor to greenhouse gases.

Our analysis shows that livestock and their byproducts actually account for at least 32,564 million tons of CO2e [CO2 equivalent] per year, or 51 percent of annual GHG emissions.

This startling information will not be found in Mr. Gore's film nor in his new book. Hmmm, maybe cause a well cooked steak tastes too great, even if each bite brings us closer to the day when it's simply too late.

It's very clear that the survival of the human species depends on a shift in our eating habits. To think that many are so addicted to the taste and texture of flesh that the idea of a meat free diet seems like a fate worse than death! There have been so many advances in processing plant based foods that one can find great meat replacements while transitioning to a vegetarian or vegan diet.

At this point we need a new classification for progressive eating lets call it Planetarian -- yeah I'm eating good for the good of all sentient beings . . . it's time to evolve and participate in the Divine plan for infinite creation, that's pretty tough to do if we insist on continual destruction.
