Live Life, Love Life, and achieve your dreams by any means necessary
About Me:
I was born and raised in Brooklyn. Graduated and became an 8th grade teacher and coach in Paterson, NJ after joining Teach for America. Spent 7 years in Paterson teaching math and writing, coaching Baseball, Football and basketball and helping alot of kids acieve their goals. It was in p-town that I discovered my story-telling talent and began writing screenplays for hip-hop artists. My first script, a hip-hop musical, got me some interest from a producer and my second script, a hip-hop action adventure story won me my first screenwriting award, and my third script, a comedy got optioned by that same producer that took an initial interest in me. I have since been hired to write three other scripts and have also written and produced a hip-hop web comedy series with five episodes, won film festival awards for most original comedy short film, and most recently wrote, produced and directed a short film drama titled Papichulo. Currently, I am partners in HomeGrown Productions with two others, teach 8th grade math in my old neighborhood in BK, coach a girls AAU basketball team in Jersey and participate in a writers lab at Columbia University through the Harlem Arts Alliance and Writer's Guild east.
