About Me:
A native of Chicago who grew up in Atlanta, Ashia R. Sims has always dreamed of working in corporate America. As a child, she envisioned herself the modern business woman walking to work downtown with her tennis shoes on, briefcase in one hand, purse in the other. An avid reader, she turned her love of words into a love of creating stories. A love of writing led her to initially pursue a career in Advertising but her desire to attend Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL, pointed her in another direction, public relations.

After receiving a BS in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations, she began to pursue a career in Public Relations. After graduating, she discovered that she no longer had the desire to be an active participant in Corporate America. She began to work as a freelancer in the field of public relations and event planning. She stumbled across the field of television/film production after working as a Co-Producer on a television show that aired on a local public access channel.

After discovering her new love of the television/film industry, she began to look for ways to learn more while maintaining her public relations freelance work. As time passed, she continued to branch out into the world of entertainment, fashion and lifestyles as a freelance consultant. She eventually partnered with Troy Guinyard and created Renea Solomon Group which is a breeding ground for all of her and his interests. The good thing is that they share an interest in the entertainment industry.

She continues to work as a freelance consultant doing public relations consulting, writing, television/film production and any other creative enterprise that she can get involved in. She works to help women improve their image and style through her fashion and beauty blog, Clueless Fashionista. She is often called a jack of all trades, but she’s more of a well rounded entrepreneur who has managed to explore many of her talents.

Five Tips to Ensure Your Clothes are of Good Quality

As I work toward improving the quality of my wardrobe, I am becoming more and more aware of the quality of my clothes. Quality is a big reason why people tend to buy more expensive brand name clothing. But don’t fret. You don’t have to spend $200 on a pair of jeans to get good quality. You just have to be diligent in doing quality checks when you are out shopping. Here are five things you can do to ensure that you are getting a good quality of clothing, regardless of where you shop.

1. Do… Continue

10 Ways to Stop Muffin Tops

I got a comment from a blog reader today about the muffin top article. If you haven’t read it, take a moment to do so. The reader that commented on it has recently had some muffin top issues even though she falls on the “skinny” side of things. She is a direct example of the different sizes of people that can be affected by the muffin top. After reading her comment, I was inspired to write an article on how to disguise or get rid of the muffin top. Check it out.

Blushing Beauties!

One day I was really tired so I decided to brush on some blush to perk myself up. After I checked my reflection in the mirror, I was satisfied with the final product. I didn’t look as pale and tired and the blush definitely helped pull my total look together. When I met up with my friends, I got an additional pleasant surprise. My friend looked at me and said, “You look so refreshed and well rested!”

A full length mirror...go buy one!

As I move about my daily activities I often notice people’s outfits and clothing choices. Some people make great choices and look totally pulled together at all times. Other people aren’t so skilled. When I look at some people, it’s often painfully obvious that they got dressed in the bathroom mirror. You know, the one where you can only see the upper half of your body.

That’s not a good way to make sure that your total look is all pulled together. One simple way to start improving… Continue

How to spice up your wardrobe while on a budget

I am still being inspired by the Sex and the City movie. A while ago, I wrote a how-to article for a website called www.ehow.com with the same title as this post. I figured I could share that article with you because this a great way to add to the last post about Sex and the City and how to add some fabulous to your wardrobe.

Many people get bored with their current wardrobe and want to change, however their… Continue
