What is my motivation?? *English accent

Hello Hustlers,

Hope all is well. I recently have had a lot of success with my company and I need to take a minute to be completely honest with you. I haven't really been giving %100 to my projects, but it's like things are just falling in place with minimal effort. I feel like my reputation for delivering is helping me get shit done more than anything. I've been making my own moves and running my own company for 3 years. I've been looking for new motivations in order to get back to %100, and I've been finding it in the form of consulting certain people for free, as I find it keeps my creative juices flowing. I went to a millionaire friends party today and basically gave him some online marketing ideas for his company (Patron is a motherfu**er). I felt like I regained my swagger and I have so many fresh ideas for my clients and projects, its like mental exercise. My millionaire buddy basically offered me dibs on this upcoming project so that's another check I can look forward too:) * Give them a taste of the milk, but not the whole cow;)

The purpose behind this July 4th rant is that you have to constantly find things that motivate you in order to keep your ideas fresh. Ok, Lets be honest here- Everything begins with an idea, correct? so if you have good enough ideas then people will hire you to execute those ideas. You have to be motivated in order to constantly generate new ideas.I literally have adopted various hobbies that help keep my brain pumping out new shit. I make money from presenting ideas, creating the strategy and executing. I'm trying to stay out of that hamster on the wheel mentality, as an entrepreneur that will kill you. So, here are my strategies for keeping my ideas fresh.

1. Research odd marketing ideas, especially in Japan...as they are far more advance then us. http://www.psfk.com/ is a GREAT site.

2. Pay attention to the youth!! Hate Soulja Boy all you want but he has changed the way music is marketed online, and or promoted. *The Soulja Girl video ticker was Flipping bold and genius!

3. Travel..Travel...Travel! I just came back from Beverly Hills and it inspired some ideas for a campaign I'm working on for a client. There is nothing like staying in the 4seasons courtesy of your client and drinking $4 wine, two fried drumsticks..snickers. We still keep it real son! lol

4. Read a weird ass book that is so complex that you might have to read it twice. You have to keep pushing your brain!

5. Listen to different types of music. Please consider putting down the Neyo, Chris Brown and Keshya Cole for two seconds and start listening to some global music. I'm a huge purveyor of down-tempo, House, electronic and more. I listen to this music and makes me feel like I'm traveling, even though I'm only at the Starbucks on 23rd street.

Good luck kiddies!

Thanks for sharing. I'm going to look into those artists and sites. I think the biggest thing in being successful and raising your capacity to achieve is always going to come down to how open you are to new technology, people, thoughts, places and ideas. One cannot stay stagnant as they try to achieve great things. - Marquis
Thanks for the insights. I love them.
